Generosity & Our Fundraising Goal & How you can help
We know that not everyone can adopt but I'm confident God has placed the heart for adoption on many around our community so we are praying those people can get connected to this adoption story!
As we have started telling family and friends we have already experienced generosity from others. Again, God is showing up and is confirming that this is his will for us. Generosity has many different forms; friends have donated items for our garage sale, family members have passed on our info to others who love adoption and one of my (Austin's) clients wrote me a check for our fund raising goal.
We wanted a way that people could give and also take advantage on their taxes so we partnered with ABBA Fund to do just that!

Thanks for anyone you can connect us with! =)
The breakdown of fees are as follows:
Agency Fee: $17,000
Home Study: $2,850- $4,850
Legal Service: $8,000-$15,000 (we won't know until we are matched with a birth mother and her state)
Other (classes, random interstate fees, etc)- $1000+
Approx: $35,000-$40,000
We're excited to see how God shows up. We don't have almost $30,000 laying around that we can easily pay out of pocket but we are confident this is what God wants us to do and we are excited to see how he answers our many prayers and needs.
As of now, we have available $5000-$7000 of our own money so our fundraising goal is $25,000, big number for a big God. We are planning a garage sale for mid May, we are hoping for donations and we have talked about doing a restaurant fundraiser. Stay tuned =)
So far we have $17,040 committed towards our $30,000
Stories of Gods working in people's lives and merging with ours has been pretty overwhelming.
4/30/18- We met with a couple that God connected us with at church. God spoke very clearly to the husband 1 year ago while he was listening to a sermon to give $$ to a young couple who was adopting thru our church. At the time they didn't know what to do about it, but after hearing our story they knew we were the ones God wanted them to give to. (amazing side story- the wife was good friends with Ashley's grandma and actually spoke at her funeral- so cool how God connects people!!)
5/5/18- At church a couple pulled us aside and wanted to hear how our fundraising was going. They shared about a month ago they were away for a weekend and after they had both separately spent time with God they both felt they were supposed to cancel the vacation and give the money away. As they asked each other how much- they LITERALLY both had the same amount in mind. They did not know who they were supposed to give the money to, but when they saw our Blog on Facebook they both felt very convinced that they money was supposed to go to our adoption.
5/12-5/17 - Some friends have donated thru abbafund and one gave us a check direct- thank you!
5/18- Garage Sale Fundraiser was a huge success- Thank you for everyone who donated stuff! We sold $1125- it was a team effort no doubt and big shout out to my wife who did all the work as I was traveling work work (bad timing for sure!)
June- This was an amazing month of generosity of people. We raised over $5000 this month!
